Helping you create books kids will love
As a children’s book editor, I’m dedicated to helping bring stories to life that will inspire and captivate the next generation of readers. With experience in both developmental and line editing, I’m here to support you through every stage of the writing process.
I’m excited to work with writers of all levels, but I specialize in guiding first-time authors—particularly those planning to self-publish—through the complexities of the book-writing journey. Whether your book is in rhyme or prose, fiction or non-fiction, I’m here to help you create something truly special.

“As a first-time children’s book author, Danielle’s invaluable feedback significantly improved the flow of my book. Her thoroughness and responsiveness made her an absolute pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!”

Author of the Kiera and Lamby book series

Who I am and what I do
As a child, I was often found with a flashlight under the covers, devouring books long after bedtime. That passion for reading, paired with my desire to help others in some way, naturally led me to a career in editing. While I initially focused on projects for adult audiences, my first opportunity to edit a children’s book ignited a deep love for the unique challenges and joys of crafting stories for young readers.
I began editing 2007 and have been working with children’s books since 2019. I have completed the editing certificate program through SFU and taken courses specifically on editing children’s books, including “Editing Books for Children and Teens” through the Toronto Metropolitan University and “Editing Children’s Picture Books” through the Editorial Freelance Association. And as a mother of two young children, I have read thousands of picture books and early readers over the past four years, allowing me to see your book from both a professional and a parent’s perspective.
Let’s create something magical together!
